Neighborhood Watch is a crime prevention program which enlists the active participation of citizens in cooperation with law enforcement to reduce crime in their communities.

How does Neighborhood Watch work?

Watch out for yourself, your neighbors, and your “neck of the woods”.

Report any suspicious activity to the police.

Notify. your Crime Watch Committee Chairperson to begin the “round robin”

To report suspicious activity or a crime in progress, have the following information ready:

Type of incident

Whether or not the crime is still in progress

Location/address of crime if possible

Number of suspects, if any; and whether they are armed

Description of the suspects such as age, sex, race, height, weight, hair and eye color, color and kind of clothing, shape of face, voice-speech problems, accent, loud, or soft- and unusual marks-scars, moles, tattoos, birthmarks, etc.

Description of vehicle, if possible, such as make (Chevy, Ford, GMC), model such as (Camaro, Silverado, Cutlass), year, body style, license number, state, and identifying features, i.e., dents, decals, bumper stickers, etc.
